DIGIVATIONS CAMP FAMILIES, DEMIGODS & XGENERS:
Today, in honor of our son's, Jacob Berman, upcoming 18th birthday in April, as well as Pi Day, we announce the official opening of NASA award winning DIGIVATIONS CAMPS and XGENS' 17 SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS INSTITUTE & ACADEMY, XGENS.org. Significantly, we recognize Jacob’s 9 year old dream and vision which is extremely relevant to our world today, more than ever. Jacob’s dream was to establish an innovative and creative environment where everyone would be included and feel like a family, hence the birth of Overnight Innovation & Literary DIGIVATIONS CAMP DEMIGOD INSTITUTE’s Camp Half-Blood, camphalf-blood.org, and the camps that followed, including campfandom.org and harrypottercamps.org.
While we are exuberant about announcing our IN PERSON programs, we also memorialize March 11, 2021, as the first year anniversary since the World Health Organization declared Covid-19 a pandemic.
Everyday, determined to enliven our spirits, and maintain our physical and emotional health, we marked the pandemic by walking down and up the Demigod Lodge private mountain road with our amazing Leonbergers, Westley and Maple (below). The splendor of the four seasons' beautiful nature has been breath taking. Many of our family members, friends, colleagues, camper parents, campers, students, faculty and counselors can transport themselves to this majestic setting.
While this year has proven to be a challenging and sad year for all of us, similar to this beautiful ending of winter days, there is hope and a sense of light emerging from the dark. There is a spark of creativity and innovation emanating from our hibernating connectomes, and an uncertain yet prospective brilliant future ahead.
As we forge forward towards a summer of DIGIVATIONS Camps & XGENS’ Academy and Institute, we hope that each of you find a positively impactful future which ensures that each second of each minute of each hour of each day of each week of each year is perceived as a blessing in honor of all those who lost their lives due to the insidious pandemic and whose memories are also enshrined as blessings.
More information follows below. In the meantime, for those of you who are vaccinated or have relatives who received vaccinations, enjoy your embraces of loved ones as we recognize that we are a fragile species.
Thank you for the opportunity of allowing us to facilitate your children’s and teens' dreams and academic goals.
Warmest Regards,

Scholarship Tuition Reduction Options

When our son, Jacob, came to us with the idea of creating the World’s First Overnight Camp Half-Blood, he wanted to create a summer camp where everyone felt included. Jacob said when he was ten years old, “I wanted to bring my own demigod character to life and make my story come true in a place where everyone was kind to each other and where everyone belonged.” We strive for this philosophy to filter into everything we do at Camp Demigod through our focus on your child’s interests and personalized attention. Another important way we create an environment of inclusion is to ensure that no one is turned away because of family resources to the extent possible. In the past, before the pandemic, we have used a very generous sliding scale for tuition. However, this year, to the extent that financial aid will be awarded, it will be extraordinarily limited. There is no formal financial aid reporting, we only ask for a brief explanation if there are unusual circumstances (specific effects of the pandemic, recent job loss, care for elderly parents, sick family member, divorce, etc). DIGIVATIONS CAMP DEMIGOD INSTITUTE is a 501(c)3 federal nonprofit. If families are able, we offer a place in the application to contribute to the scholarship fund. Every contribution will help another child attend camp this year. We will invite families to take part in our virtual fundraisers throughout the year.
Details about the Summer:
Our plan is to invite a maximum of twenty campers per cohort for two to three week sessions who will be selected for the IN PERSON overnight Camp Demigod and XGENS SDG Institute. Together, they will share their enormous reservoir of creativity and innovative ideas with other like-minded individuals who hold common interests.

For minor children, ages 12-17, we highly recommend the Wenatchee Valley Shuttle which transports Demigods safely from SEATAC Airport, Bellevue or North Bend to The Demigod Stop (see photo of a camper who flew in from Texas) where we pick them up and drive them 5 minutes to camp.

Tuition for overnight camps cover all meals, housing, instruction, guest lectures, mentoring, supervision, materials, and recreation fees. VIRTUAL AT-HOME campers receive instruction, guest lectures, mentoring and supervision in breakout rooms and recreation fees. For those students who want to specialize in an area of study, optional private or semi-private lessons may be purchased through the on-line registration system including instruction in Music Composition, Vocal Performance, Fine Art, Film Making, game design and Creative Writing. There are also options available for semi-private Martial Arts Training, Group Innovation Seminars and ESL. BUILD YOUR COLLEGE PORTFOLIO
Depending on the motivation of the student and their length of stay, older students who work consistently with our faculty will leave camp with a portfolio of original works that could be used as part of their college applications. Afternoons in the Virtual camp are times made especially for that work, or private lessons may be purchased for additional instruction and support. Most of our long term campers are able to secure generous scholarships to the colleges of their choice.
MERCHANDISE
Parents may also purchase additional optional merchandise, such as Additional and Deluxe Swords (for campers who must have two weapons to protect the camp barrier), Personalized Costume Materials (campers may take home their costume rather than leaving it for future Demigods in the costume department), and Camp Store Credit (to buy play Drachmas: Greek Money - any unspent balance will be donated for DIGIVATIONS CAMP DEMIGOD INSTITUTE scholarships). We are building a MERCH ONLINE STORE where campers can buy a large variety of apparel, masks, water bottles, etc.
POLICY FOR 2020 REGISTRATION
DIGIVATIONS was sadly required to suspend its NASA award winning 501(c)(3) educational non-profit DIGIVATIONS CAMP DEMIGOD INSTITUTE’s Overnight Innovation & Literary Camp DEMIGOD (DIGIVATIONS) operations for the 2020 Season. There are many reasons for this determination including severe health and safety restrictions due to COVID-19 including required compliance with State, County and local policies that foreclose us from operating and providing your Demigods with a dynamic, multidimensional, educationally rich, as well as fully immersive physical experience.
We are hopeful that it will be feasible to operate DIGIVATIONS CAMP DEMIGOD in 2021 which traditionally engenders a high degree of immersion during classes and encompasses hands-on collaborative projects such as writing scripts and short stories, making art, music, plays, prototypes, and skits. We will open registration soon and ask for a non-refundable $150 security deposit with full nonrefundable tuition payments due by May 1, 2021.
Those families who purchase private trip insurance to insure their registration payments as part of their camper enrollment in DIGIVATIONS could also decide to exercise the insurance option should Camp Demigod be unable to operate.
For those who previously applied, and paid full registration and other fees in 2020, DIGIVATIONS CAMP DEMIGOD INSTITUTE can offer the option of having them reapply to Camp 2021, and if they are accepted for their preferred Two Week Camp session cohort, their full previous tuition can be applied to the cost of current Camp pricing, or in DIGIVATIONS Leadership discretion can be offered an alternative Camp Session, waitlisted for their preferred Camp Session, or, if the parents/guardians would prefer not to have their child attend such alternative session or the child is otherwise denied acceptance for this summer, DIGIVATIONS will issue a receipt recognizing a portion of such previous payment as a tax deductible donation to DIGIVATIONS CAMP DEMIGOD INSTITUTE. No refunds of previously paid tuition are available. As stated, Camper families who registered in 2020 can receive a waiver from the $150 non-refundable application fee. No modifications to the requirement of two week cohort session residential stays are permitted.
